Softshell jackets are an absolute bestseller in corporate outdoor and workwear. They are made from modern multi-layer fabric that combines mechanical durability, elasticity and strong protection against adverse weather conditions. The key technical parameters are the water column rating (rain resistance) and breathability (the ability to wick moisture away from the body during physical activity). Softshell is windproof and features a comfortable microfleece lining on the inner side. These jackets are an ideal branding surface for sales representatives, site supervisors and couriers, and they also make a highly valued gift for VIP clients.

For comprehensive protection against rain, wind and frost, we offer three main categories of jackets. Lightweight nylon windbreakers are compact, easily packable and ideal as a backup against rain at outdoor events. Softshell jackets with a membrane represent the premium standard for tradespeople, logistics staff and assembly teams, thanks to their mechanical durability and water resistance. Quilted and insulated winter jackets with thermal fill then ensure complete thermal comfort during prolonged work in freezing conditions.

Each jacket type responds to different climatic conditions. Lightweight windbreakers and rain jackets made from nylon are thin, easily packable into a pocket and protect against unexpected summer rain and wind in the mountains or at festivals — making them ideal for large-scale outdoor events. Modern quilted insulated jackets (down-look style filled with hollow fibre) offer premium urban design, minimal weight and excellent warmth during the winter months. They are highly presentable and employees are very happy to wear them in their private lives too, continuously promoting your brand.

The water column rating (expressed in mm) indicates the material's ability to withstand water pressure before it starts to leak through — for typical rain in a corporate outdoor environment, a value of 5,000 to 8,000 mm is fully sufficient. Breathability (expressed in g/m²/24h) defines how many grams of water vapour (perspiration) the material can transmit outward — a higher value ensures that employees engaged in physical work stay dry inside the jacket and do not overheat. These technical parameters are critical for the comfort of outdoor workers.

Branding functional membrane jackets requires careful consideration of the construction. Quilted jackets and fleece materials are ideal for machine embroidery, which blends perfectly with the surface and delivers a premium look. However, on softshell and waterproof jackets, standard embroidery is not recommended in areas where the needle could pierce the waterproof membrane and cause water ingress — for example on the shoulders. For softshell jackets we therefore most commonly use high-precision DTF printing or specialist transfer printing with a migration barrier, which guarantees sharp logo colours without any risk of dye migration from the jacket into the print.

Outdoor jackets feature special water-repellent coatings (DWR) and textures to which conventional printing adheres poorly and which may peel over time. Machine embroidery is therefore the most reliable and premium method for branding jackets. To avoid compromising the waterproofing of such garments through needle penetration, we use special backing waterproof membranes, or alternatively apply branding in the form of woven patches placed in areas where direct water ingress is unlikely — such as the chest or sleeve.

Modern quilted jackets — often called puffer jackets — use premium synthetic microfibre that delivers identical insulation performance to genuine down, but unlike real down it retains its functionality when wet and dries extremely quickly. These jackets are exceptionally lightweight, can be packed into a very small volume, and feature a highly attractive urban design. They are a sought-after gift for management and key business partners, and represent the company excellently during business travel.

Functional jackets require specific care. Always wash them inside out with zips fastened on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30 °C. Use only specialist liquid detergents designed for membrane garments and **never use fabric softener** — it will permanently clog the membrane pores and destroy the jacket's breathability. Do not tumble dry or iron the jackets. After several washes we recommend applying a DWR (durable water repellent) spray to the outer surface to restore the water-repellent layer.
