Sweatshirts have a high fabric weight (typically 280 to 350 g/m²), which makes them an excellent base for both technologies. If the sweatshirt features a large logo across the full back or chest, screen printing or DTF printing is the ideal choice — colours are vivid, the layer is flexible and a large-area print does not pull the fabric down. For smaller logos placed over the heart, on the sleeve or on the hood, machine embroidery is absolutely the perfect solution. Thanks to the dense fabric, the embroidery holds its shape perfectly, does not pucker, looks highly premium and will easily outlast the garment itself.

If you are looking for top-tier quality with an eco-friendly story for your corporate branding or fashion label, Stanley/Stella is the ideal choice. This brand specialises exclusively in premium sustainable textiles made from combed organic cotton and recycled polyester, backed by the most rigorous certifications (GOTS). The material of the sweatshirt strictly determines the branding technology. For classic cotton sweatshirts and hoodies, screen printing (for large runs) or detailed elastic DTF (for full-colour logos) are the ideal choices. For fluffy quilted vests and sweatshirts with a fleece interior, direct printing is unsuitable due to the fibre structure. Here the only correct and highly premium choice is machine embroidery, which sits beautifully in dense pile, does not distort and gives the sweatshirt a professional, club-quality appearance.

Fleece is a highly warming, soft, brushed synthetic material made from polyester that provides excellent thermal insulation, is lightweight and pleasant to the touch — fleece vests are ideal as an inner insulating layer for indoor environments or warehouses. Softshell is a modern multi-layer fabric with a membrane that combines wind resistance, water repellency and outstanding mechanical durability on the outer side, while retaining breathability on the inside. Softshell vests are designed for demanding outdoor use in adverse weather conditions.

For machine embroidery, the print data must first be converted in a specialised embroidery program (stitch file), which defines the direction, density and number of needle stitches. Please supply your artwork as outlined vectors in PDF, AI or EPS format. Due to the nature of embroidery threads, we recommend avoiding extremely thin lines under 1 mm and very small text, as these can sink into the pile of a heavy sweatshirt or vest and become illegible. Our graphic designers will always optimise the stitch program for your specific fabric type.
