What is the difference between plastic, metal and wooden promotional pens?
Plastic pens are the most affordable, offer the widest selection of colours and shapes and are well suited for mass campaigns. Metal pens feel more premium, last longer and engrave better with a laser — a classic choice for business gifts. Wooden and bamboo pens are an eco-friendly alternative with a unique tactile feel, often combined with metal or plastic elements. Which technology is best for printing a logo on promotional pens?
We use four main technologies for pens. Pad printing is the traditional and cost-effective method for single- or multi-colour logos, suitable even for the curved surface of a pen. UV digital printing enables full-colour printing with gradients, photographs and fine details — ideal for complex logos. Laser engraving is used on metal and wooden pens, producing a permanent and elegant mark without colour. Screen printing is suitable for areas requiring a heavier ink layer. The choice of technology affects both appearance and price — pad printing is the most economical, UV printing offers the most detail, and engraving feels the most premium.
What is the minimum order quantity for promotional pens with print?
The standard minimum order with print for most models is 50 pieces; for some premium models it starts at 25 pieces. Without print you can order even single units. The standard production lead time with print is 5–7 working days from approval of the artwork. Selected models marked with an express delivery icon can be produced within 24–72 hours for a surcharge. Without print we ship in-stock items by the next day, and personal pickup at our warehouse near Prague is available immediately from stock.
